I agree with the comment of the representative of the Columbia Integrative Medicine Program at the New York—Presbyterian Hospital. Healthcare providers can definitely reap a great amount of benefits if they incorporate Reiki in their hospital setting. One of the benefits I can clearly foresee is that patients will value the personalized, individualistic approach to alternative healing.

Caitlin,
What a well researched article. Very incredible for someone your age. What I would like to add to this is another perspective. That possibly the Anointed ones, Horus in Egypt and Jesus are the same enlightened being who has repeated his presence when needed.

Another similar story is documented, curiously enough again in Egypt and Mexico. Graham Hancock, in his book “Fingerprints of the Gods,” has in great detailed shown the correlation between Egypt’s and Mexico’s pyramids and the enlightened man and his followers who appeared in several cultures throughout time.

“The Andean region had experienced a great flood, there suddenly appeared, coming from the south, a white man of large stature and authoritative. This man had such great power that he changed the hills into valleys and from the valleys made great hills, causing streams to flow from the living stone…”

This man was called Ticca Viracocha. Under his leadership, from approximately peace and innovation followed. He was a bearded man dressed in a long cloak with gray hair (our version of a wizard). He walked with a staff and called everyone his sons and daughters.

In the Central America region, he was referred to as Quetzalcoatl, the feathered serpent. In Egypt, he was Osiris, who later went to Arabia and India. Osiris was murdered by Set. In all three myths, the men possess supernatural powers, brought peace and innovations such as cultivation of crops and animal husbandry. They also disapproved of human and animal sacrifice and cannibalism. It is also interesting that all three cultures built pyramids. Also, all three men were either driven away by those they sought to help or killed.

There is a lot more to these stories, which is why I recommend reading the book. My point is that there is another way of looking at this — that Jesus’ story was perhaps not copied from Horus’, but rather that the events repeated themselves.

Keep up the good work!
